Friends of Onancock School 2nd Annual PigNic Fund Raiser

10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
The 2nd Annual PigNic has much to offer — the Barbeque Pork Dinner by Tommy Hines and G.L. Smith served from 12:30 – 2:30 p.m. In addition there will be a local artist exhibition, concerts by members of the Orchestra of the Eastern Shore and the Community Band, a Silent Auction and prizes for the oldest Alumni and the Alumni who traveled the furthest.

Onancock Harborfest

Come to this 1680 wharf town for an annual family fun event. Food, contests, music, small boat races, critter parade, bake-off, and a rubber duck race are highlights. Location: the town wharf at the end of Market Street.

Onancock Kick-Off for the Eastern Shore Birding & Wildlife Festival

Paint Onancock! Plein Air Event
October 1 - 4, 2008
Look for the artists at work at their easels all around town Oct. 1-2. The works will be on display all around town on the evening of Oct. 3, First Friday, 5-8 p.m. The paintings will also be on display for viewing and sale on Saturday, Oct. 4. Come out to support our local artists as they capture the spirit of our scenic harbor town on canvas. You may be fortunate enough to end up with an original work of art in your home! Mark your calendar for this fall weekend event. The deadline for artist registration to Paint Onancock is August 1.

Onancock Christmas Homes Tour

2-6 p.m.
Step inside some of this historic wharf town's finest homes, all decked out for the season. Listen to holiday music, including the Orchestra of the Eastern Shore, at a free concert at Historic Cokesbury Church, 4-8 p.m. Tour tickets ($15) can be purchased the day of the tour or in advance by phone. Presented by the Onancock Business & Civic Association to benefit a different local organization each year.

Patriotic Band Concert and Ice Cream Social
