A weekend of special events, featuring the 17th Annual Onancock Christmas Homes Tour & Music Festival. Stay at one of our charming inns, shop, dine or just enjoy the holiday lights and festivities!  

Friday, December 9

Second Friday Gallery & Shopping Stroll - Starting 5 p.m./FREE. Shops and galleries stay open late. Local artists, demonstrations, free refreshments and dinner specials. 

Saturday, December 10

Santa Comes to Town- 11 a.m. at Town Dock/FREE. Kayaking reindeer lead Santa’s arrival by boat to the wharf, where he will listen to children’s holiday wishes.

Christmas Homes Tour - 1-5 p.m./$15 before Thanksgiving/$20 up to event. Private homes open to the public and decorated for the holidays. Tickets:  Book Bin, C.D. Marsh Jewelers, Red Queen Gallery, Thomas Gardens, ESVA Chamber of Commerce, or online at

Music Festival at Historic Cokesbury Church - 2- 6 p.m./FREE. Orchestras, band chorales. Drop in throughout the day.

Holiday Open House at Ker Place - 11 a.m. - 4 p.m./FREE. Photos with Santa, refreshments. Homes Tour tickets available day of event (Dec. 10)

North Street Playhouse A special Christmas production for the entire family.

Sunday, December 11

Hometown Christmas Parade 5 p.m./FREE. Fire trucks, ponies, floats, bands and more, parade down Market Street and through town.

Second Fridays in Onancock
Second Friday evening of each month, April through December 5-8 p.m. Participating shops and galleries stay open late featuring local artists, demonstrations and specials, with dining in international and eclectic eateries.

Onancock International Films
has made the Roseland Theatre the place to be on the second Thursday of the month for over eight years. A non-profit group of movie lovers research and choose films from around the world that will entertain the Eastern Shore. The key is a variety of cultures as well as a mix of comedy, romance and more serious films. Looking forward to continuing the tradition, they are now in their 27th season of four films, presented at 8 PM on the second Thursday of the month.

The Onancock Market
Located at the corner of Market and Ames Streets, The Onancock Market is open every Saturday 8AM to 12PM, May through October, Rain or Shine. This open air market features local farmers, watermen, artists and artisans who offer their fresh, seasonal, and locally grown and manufactured products and qualified art directly to residents and visitors in the community.
