Friday's in Onancock are the best! We celebrate the Second Friday of each month April through December. Visit the Onancock shops and galleries showcasing many talented local artists, demonstrations and specials, with dining in eclectic eateries. You can begin an "Arts Weekend" on Friday in Onancock and continue with Chincoteague's Second Saturday Art Stroll.

On Market Street

Inn & Garden Cafe – 145 Market St. – Make reservations to enjoy the "attitude adjustment hour" from 5-8pm. Enjoy your choice of three heavy hors d'oeuvres and drink specials.
Dawn – 63 Market St. – A unique shop for women and home. Come see how the shop is blooming for summer! This year is exceptional! Dawn is open until 7 PM.
Great Space ETC – 61 Market St. – Come in and see our expanded studio! Christine Butler of Elegant Interiors has joined the team. Have a glass of vino, see our tile, carpet, tons of fabrics, wall coverings, new pillows, lamps, gifts, accessories, every window treatment imaginable, and so much more! Edward Jones – 25 Market St. – Come by and challenge Mary McKenna of Edwards Jones and try your luck for a hole in one on the corn hole board. You may even win a prize! Refreshments will be served.
Scoops Ice Cream Shoppe – 132 Market St. - offers soft-serve ice cream and some of the best ice cream treats around. Free sweet tea with the purchase of BBQ or 2 chili-dogs. Drive thru open 7 days a week.

On King Street and North Street

Richardson Gallery – 24 King St. – is featuring the local artist Helen Bongiovanni during 2nd Friday. Reception for the artist 5 – 8 PM. Meet the artist and have some light refreshments.
gardenART on King Street – 44 King St. – presents "A Lavender Evening with Lisa McPherson," join us and partake in the new Blue Skye Collection of lavender products created right here on the Eastern Shore. Jonathan Bess will return to the garden this month offering wines from Holly Grove Vineyard.
Janet's Onancock General Store and Cafe – 49 King Street – Now open Friday evening serving light fare specials, ice cream and desserts.
Red Queen Gallery Onancock – 8 North St. – welcomes back favorites: a trio of talented women – our best-selling artist, Melanie Heacock from Baltimore; "the crab lady" – Christine Sanders from Ocean City and Florida; and Onancock's own Karen Tweedie with a new selection of jewelry.
Blarney Stone Pub – 10 North St. – enjoy live music by the Celtic Islanders. There are new speakers on the patio, so there'll be good music inside the pub and on the patio!

At Onancock School – 6 College Avenue

Eastern Shore Art League Gallery – will be open from 2:00 – 8:00 PM with refreshments served beginning at 5:00 PM. Come visit the gallery to see the new pieces of art set up for the occasion. Raffle tickets will be sold for a watercolor painting donated by one of the artists.
Artisan's Guild – Room 107 – Open for the evening with Dan Weeks, furniture artist, will be presenting his work.
Dan Lawrence Studio – Room 103 – continues to add new paintings to his Beach Muse series and will be continuing his Portrait of the Shore project. Refreshments will be served.
Glass Expressions Stained Glass – Room 106 – is open for the evening and offering 50% off everything in stock.
P Bose Schur Studio – Room 115B – will be open for 2nd Friday. Refreshments will be served.
Dragonfly Studio Gallery – "Black and White and RED HOT!" – Paintings, drawings, photography and pottery in black and white and red.

At the Wharf

Mallards at the Wharf – Enjoy Mallards' waterfront dining and any appetizer is half-price with a dinner entree. Be sure to mention 2nd Friday.
SouthEast Expeditions – "Let’s Go Camping." Bill and Mary Burnham share stories and tips on kayak camping. Throughout the evening, sample some of Bill's favorite camp meals prepared using a one-burner backpacking stove. Each course will be paired with Chatham Vineyard's wines, for sale by the glass or bottle.
