Halloween Weekend in Onancock

Highlights include a Halloween Parade, Pumpkin Carving in the Square, and a Witches paddle on Sunday. The party is moving to Market Street for the Sept. 12 Second Friday!
- 6-8 p.m. Market Street will be closed for one block, from Ames to East Street featuring “Faison," a 6-piece rhythm & blues dance band, sponsored by Morphosis Creative.
- Motorists should detour from Market to North to King Street to reach the wharf.

- Morphosis & Timothy Smith Galleries hosting "Bill Murphy Art" Living estate sale.
- Imaginarium, Treasure Trove pop-up. Unique furniture, décor & lighting to live artfully.

MAMA-girl! exhibit opening reception
Shore History is honored to welcome MAMA-Girl back to her roots in an exhibition honoring the life and work of Eastern Shore artist and pastor Mary Elizabeth “MAMA-Girl” Onley (1953-2018). The Opening Reception will be held Friday July 11 from 6 -8 p.m at Ker Place. The exhibit will remain on view from July 12 – November 7 and is free and open to the public.
You are invited to explore a diverse collection of some 142 artworks and objects from MAMA-Girl’s studio, generously shared with the public by 10 lenders including the Barrier Islands Center and residents from the Eastern Shore, along with others across Virginia and Maryland.
