Halloween Weekend in Onancock
Join us in Onancock for the celebrate the spooky season with a weekend filled with festive activities for all ages.

Highlights include a Halloween Parade, Pumpkin Carving in the Square, and a Witches paddle on Sunday. Enjoy a vibrant display of costumes and seasonal decorations as the community gathers to showcase our Halloween spirit. There will also be tricks, treats, and events throughout town. Don’t miss the wildly wonderful Halloween Parade Saturday 6-7pm, followed by the great pumpkin lighting at town square accompanied by The Community Band’s Halloween Concert! Lights on the Lawn Tree Lighting at Ker Place
Kick off the Holiday Season with a grand illumination of 30 Christmas Trees on the front lawn of Ker Place, home of the Eastern Shore of VIrginia Historical Society. Trees will be lit nightly from Dec. 4 through New Year’s Eve. Enjoy the festive spirit of uniquely decorated trees sponsored by businesses, organizations and families. Event is sponsored by OBCA. Christmas in Onancock! 2026
A holiday tradition the second weekend in December features Santa’s arrival by boat, the Onancock Christmas Homes Tour and Cokesbury Music Festival, Holiday Artisan Market, Holiday Films, and the famous Parade. Come to Onancock on Virginia’s Eastern Shore and visit homes that reflect the town’s Histroric and unique styles, plus historic sites.

The Town of Onancock is proud to host the tall ship Lady Maryland the weekend of June 12–14, 2026, as part of the national SAIL250 celebration honoring the 250th Anniversary of the United States of America.

The Onancock Business and Civic Association is asking for volunteers ahead of the 250th celebrations for our annual 1 1/2 mile clean-up on Market Street.
